Cold Protection Techniques for Small-Scale Food Crop Growing in Florida
Food producers in Sarasota County are very fortunate to be able to grow both warm and cold season crops during the cool growing season. However, cold- and frost-damage of food crops is a distinct possibility and is a variable factor each year.
This workshop will focus on the basics of winter weather impacts on food crop growing in Florida, and provide hands-on activities of strategies and methods to mitigate these impacts.
