It’s an approach that has won him two Michelin stars and a worldwide reputation for pioneering a new kind of Californian cuisine.
Chef Katy Millard of Portland's Coquine
credits over two years in Daniel's kitchens for helping shape her ability to turn ingredients sourced from farmers, ranchers, foragers, and fisherman all dedicated to a fully visible food chain, into thoughtful, seasonal, and delicious food.
Katy's Coquine will stage a unique pop-up in the cellar at Portland's sweetheart urban winery, the SE Wine Collective
, to celebrate the release of Coi: Stories and Recipes,
Patterson's much-anticipated cookbook, which tells the story of the restaurant, its dishes and Patterson’s philosophy.
Chef Millard of Coquine will serve a generous selection of tastes inspired by the book and her time at Coi, served up in a cocktail-party atmosphere in the cellar at the SE Wine Collective. Come enjoy these dishes, and wines from Willamette Valley favorites Anam Cara Cellars, Bethel Heights Vineyard, Crowley Wines, and Division Wine Making Co. Hear from Chef Patterson about his approach and inspirations, and take home a signed copy of Coi: Stories and Recipes.
