Event description

Description

Cohousing is a community of private homes clustered around shared space, with a sustainable and people-oriented design. It combines the advantages of private homes with the benefits of more sustainable and supportive living, including shared common facilities and spontaneous connections with neighbours.

The social, environmental and financial benefits to residents, especially families, are extensive. Are you a household seeking a family-friendly, multi-generational environment to raise children? Do you dream of neighbourhood play dates for your child with no coordination needed?

Join us for a presentation by Kathryn McCamant, an internationally recognized design leader, architect and coauthor of Cohousing: Building Sustainable Communities. Katie will share stories gathered from her 30 years of experience designing and building award-winning, sustainable communities across North America.

PLEASE REGISTER TO SAVE YOUR SEAT!

FREE CHILD MINDING AVAILABLE: Children & babes in arms are welcome! We will have toys, games and supervision available to occupy kids.
