Event description

Description

Interested in learning evidence-based treatments for the perinatal population? Want to build your treatment with some concrete skills? Join us on June 7th, 2019 for a full day training on the use of CBT for perinatal mood and anxiey disorders. We will learn skills needed to work effectively with perinatal depression, anxiety, OCD, and trauma.

Ruthie Arbit has been a therapist for over 10 years and specializes in maternal and pediatric mental health. She has certification in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies from Boston University where she was taught by Daniel Beck. She has also done specialized training with "Moving Beyond Depression: In-Home CBT for the Perinatal Population", Postpartum Support International, and is certified in the DIR-Floortime model, a parent-child dyadic model.

6 Social Work CEU's will be awarded and this course counts towards the PSI Advanced Training Requirement if completed in person. There are a limited number of reduced fee spots available. Course is available for live streaming as well but will require a 30 question exam to fulfill DC CEU requirements. IF USING LIVESTREAM OPTION, PLEASE EMAIL ME DIRECTLY SO I CAN SEND YOU MATERIALS AHEAD OF TIME. Light refreshments and coffee/tea will be available. If you're having trouble with ZOOM or need to reach me, my work cell is 240-863-2618.
