Event description
CBCT® (Cognitively-Based Compassion Training) is a system of contemplative exercises designed to strengthen and sustain compassion.

About this event

CBCT™ (Cognitively Based Compassion Training) was developed at Emory University by Lobsang Tenzin Negi, Ph. D. One of North America’s leading programs in compassion meditation, CBCT® (Cognitively-Based Compassion Training) is a system of contemplative exercises designed to strengthen and sustain compassion.

These reflective practices seek critical insights into the way one's mindsets can be shifted to support personal resiliency to foster inclusive and more accurate understanding of others altruistic motivation. With practice, informed compassion can become a spontaneous response that permeates one's life.

CBCT has been found to be beneficial by educators, social workers, medical and mental health professionals, as well as caregivers and others wishing to reduce stress. `It helps to build resiliency, improve relationships, and/or simply foster this universal human value in self and others.
