Event description

Description

Set your time travel clocks back to the early '60s as we take a listening trip through the growing sexual freedom of the '60s & '70s & early '80s as we track the ever-increasing LGBT themes in popular songs of the day. You will hear on vintage vinyl how references to the LGBT community grew from coded or merely inferred in the '60s to out, loud & proud by the late '70s, mirroring the higher visibility of our community within this historic 20-year period.

Presenter Kenny Tucker is a longtime collector of 1970s pop culture memorabilia. He has served as a volunteer board member for Forum For Equality for the past 15 years, and currently serves as its PAC Chairman. He is excited to increasingly learn about and help out the NOAGE group when and where he can, as Kenny fully believes in this group's mission.

Coffee and pastries provided courtesy of PJ's Coffee. At the New Orleans Healing Center, Room #250.
