Coffee Brewing at the Park & Community Hike with BLK Beetles & XELA
Overview
Following our first session on outdoor brewing basics, we’re back for the second part of our Nature’s Brew series in partnership with Xela Coffee Roasters.
Our Coffee Brewing at the Park & Community Hike invites you to put your skills into action. During this experience, you learn a new brewing technique and prepare your own "to-go" cup of coffee for the community hike through Memorial Park.
Saturday's Experience Outline
- Arrival & Welcome: 9:00am – 9:15am
- Brew Demo + Prep Your Own Mug: 9:15am – 10:00am
- Community Hike: 10:00am – 10:45am
- Community Connection & Close: 10:45am - 11:00am

Exchange - What We Ask of You:
Community Re-Investment Suggestion Scale: $15–$25
When you join the Nature’s Brew collaboration series, you’re helping cultivate community, creativity, and connection in everyday spaces.
Your participation helps us keep this series accessible while reinvesting in:
- Fair compensation for local coffee educators;
- Quality materials and supplies for hands-on brewing and tastings;
- Inclusive, welcoming spaces where people can slow down and share meaningful moments together — outdoors or close to home
We offer a Pay What You Can option because we believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier to belonging. Every contribution, at any level, helps sustain this work.
Our Refund Policy: No refunds or credits unless the event is canceled. We will not be able to issue refunds, including for anyone testing positive for COVID or other illnesses. If the event is rescheduled due to inclement weather or any other preventative reasons, donations can be refunded, moved to the rescheduled event date, or paid forward for future experiences for others. If you have any medical conditions or injuries that might prevent you from fully participating, please consult your physician to confirm your ability to partake in the activities safely.
