These recent local news headlines are disturbing. Let’s talk about it.

The James A. Parker Lay Organization of Reid Temple AME Church, Social Action Committee presents Coffee and Conversations – Conquering Racist Ideologies. Saturday August 3, 2019 - 9 am – 1pm.

The event features a straightforward discussion on Conquering Racist Ideologies and a workshop on Overcoming Racial Biases.

Conquering Racist Ideologies provides an historical perspective through a constructive, and actionable exploration on racist ideas and thought patterns with Community Organizer Johnathan Hutto moderated by Dr. Roger Davidson, Associate Professor — History and Government at Bowie State university.

The Overcoming Racial Biases workshop helps people recognize and observe their own biases and establish how best to overcome such prejudices and improve diversity in our community.
