Join the Biggest Hour of Code Event in History
CoderDojo NOVA, Octo Consulting, Neustar, and SySTEMic Solutions are joining forces with CODE.ORG to host the single biggest Hour of Code event in history! If you're in the greater DC Maryland Virginia (DMV) area and anywhere from 8 to 18 years old, join us at the new Silverline Center in Tysons Corner, VA; and help us reach our goal of inspiring the next generation of coders. We will have a special guest of honor: Rep. Don Beyer (Virginia's 8th District).
Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science -- part of a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in over 180 countries. The event will also feature technology demos, such as drones, 3D printing, graphic design, and other cool projects. The event will culiminate with The Cool Code Awards ceremony to award prizes for kids who have built cool coding and other tech related projects.
Join us as we demystify code and celebrate the power of our knowledge with our peers and mentors. This event is for everyone ages 8 to 18 and their parents and mentors. No experience needed - just bring yourself and your laptop!
Do I need to bring a laptop?
Yes, please bring your laptop to the event! If you don't have one, don't worry -- you can pair up with a friend.
Do my parents need to come too?
Yes, parents must stay for the event and should RSVP for both themselves and their child.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
