ABOUT THIS MEETUP
In this meetup, you will be learning about Arduino. All coders will be able to work on the code individually, but will be working in small groups with the actual arduinos. Coders are encouraged to bring their own arduinos if they would like, but it is not a mandatory requirement for CoderDojo meet ups.
If you do not have Arduino Software on your computer, please download the latest version of the software, before attending the meetup.
Download instructions are available at https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
For a visual (blocky style) Programming experience install the ArduBlock add-on (in addition to the above program): http://www.carobot.cc/how-to/ardublock/
This is a list of the exact hardware that will be used at the meetup:
NOTE: There is NO requirement to aquire hardware for CoderDojo events.
NOTE: Please bring your own laptop.
CoderDojo is a monthly coding meetup that welcomes youth between the ages of 7-17. Coders 12 and younger need to register and attend with an older sibling/parent. CoderDojo meetups are supported by a group of Mentors who volunteer their time to share their computer programming knowledge. This creates a community driven learning community. Remember to thank your Mentor at a meetup.
