CoderDojo Harrogate 2023

Hi there. CoderDojo Harrogate is a friendly place to meet and develop your coding and tech skills or learn something new. We run informal sessions where Ninjas (children from 7-17) and families can come along and work on projects, develop new skills, participate in challenges, whatever you want. We're here to provide guidance, encouragement & support in a relaxed environment.

We usually run on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from 10am-12pm, but this can vary so please book your place for every session on Eventbrite so that you are notified of any changes. We will run online sessions using Discord to collaborate and/or in-person at the Everyman Cinema in Harrogate.

PLEASE NOTE

Feel free to drop in and out during our sessions (you don't need to be there for the start or end) - you can work on an existing project, learn something new, show us your cool coding projects or just see what's going on. If there's anything you'd particularly like to learn, email us in advance and we'll try and prepare something! harrogate.uk@coderdojo.com

You will need:

• A laptop or alternative device to code on. If you don't have one, please try and borrow one from somebody or bring a tablet, phone or something. There are limited power sockets available, so please try and bring it fully charged!
• Some ideas. If you have a great idea, we'll help you develop and code it. If you're a bit stuck, we'll help you with some project ideas.
• A parent! (very important). If you are 12 or under, your parent must stay with you during the session. For those older than 12, you're welcome to stay on your own.
• (Optionally) if you are joining us in-person, you might want to bring some money for refreshments - the Everyman offers a range of food and drinks.
