Technology Trends in a Maturing IoT

Michiel Fokke - CTO at Quby

As the Internet of Things is growing and maturing more and more business and developers get involved. This offers both enormous opportunities, but also puts more attention towards the associated risks. IoT companies need to mature their security measures, as the Mirai botnet and the recent KRACK vulnerability illustrate. New European privacy laws fundamentally changes the way we handle data. Consumer IoT companies foremost need to take some interesting hurdles on their way to profitability, as revenues per user are tiny.

Confident Embedded Software Development Using CI/CD

Wouter van Bakel - Sr. Embedded Developer at Quby

Continuous integration and delivery is becoming more and more common also for embedded software. At Quby we work with well implemented pipelines to ensure development teams increase their confidence in releasing software. This expanded confidence results in braver developers who are enabled to refactor the lousy functions implemented two years ago.
