codeCraft offers youth the opportunity to experience a variety of technologies. No previous experience is needed and all sessions are self-contained, so attendance is welcomed to one or all sessions. Classes are held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at the new AIM Brain Exchange located at 1902 Howard St.
codeCraft offers two tracks, both based on interest and ability - not age or grade:
codeCraft Explorers offers youth the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of STEM learning activities. "One-time" sessions run 60-90 minutes and are introductory in nature. Examples include Spheros, Ozobots, circuitry with digital greeting card creation, block programming, and Mbot STEM robotics.
codeCraft Masters offers youth a "deep dive" learning event. Sessions run 3 to 3.5 hours and require youth to practice skills outside of sessions. Examples include website development without an editor, including front-end design and back-end development; mobile app development, and LEGO and VEX robotics.
