Introductory Code Course for Kids
2-hour course that introduces kids ages 8-18 the basics theory of coding through a program called Scratch (www.scratch.mit.edu). With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively and use computer coding — essential skills for life in the 21st century.
The goal of this course is to expose kids to coding and the opportunities that come along with it. This community pilot program is free. Class enrollment is 20 kids per day. You can only sign up for one class.
