What is Code for the Kingdom?

Code for the Kingdom is a weekend hackathon igniting the Christian purpose of technologists, Designers students, Marketiers and entrepreneurs and others to innovate culture shaping technologies that would reclaim our times for the Gospel.

Join an incredible group of individuals who are applying their skills and experiences to advance common good and serve God’s Kingdom. In collaboration with innovative nonprofits and churches, we’ll write code and create technology to help release the oppressed, teach God’s Word, heal the sick, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and support the church and the body of Christ.

#Hack invites Engineers Students, professionals, creative writers, thinkers, researchers, Educationists, Accountant, Coders, Technologist, entrepreneurs, Social workers and any body that is interested in your their skills to advance the kingdom of God Jesus has given us different skills to carry out many good work in His Name

Do you love God's Kingdom? Do You Love the poor as Jesus loves the poor? They are all around us across the streets and around the world. Why Not use this opportunity to serve them, show and tell them about the Kingdom of Jesus.

#HACK Kampala -code for the Kingdom Is a fuel In Digital Strategies. It’s where we get together, discuss, learn and ignite each other and our ideas.
This is an innovative, interactive, thought-provoking and a force multiplier for putting ideas into action. One of our hopes is to gather people for the sake of the Kingdom in a way we never have before in this Years #Hack conference..

You don’t need to be a programmer to to get involved. We need designers, photographers, writers, project managers, social media gurus – creative thinkers of all types. The most important skills are the abilities to work with others and find new ways to solve problems. ”

Your Ticket

Upon completing your registration on eventbrite, You will receive an aditional email instructions to finalize your registration and payment of $10(UGX.36,000). Your ticket price includes the following: meals (dinner Friday through lunch Sunday), event swag, and snacks and coffee throughout the event.

FAQS

Why are we charging for this event?
Ticket sales will cover less than half the cost. The hackathon in Kampala is hosted by Digital Strategies Uganda-LIFE Ministry Uganda, With a passion to help Christians in technology find encouragement and collaborate.

Are you going to feed me?
Yes! You'll be well fed over the course of the weekend. We'll eat together Friday dinner through to Sunday lunchtime. There will be plenty of snacks and coffe on tap.

Is there student discount?
Maybe... if you ask nicely! Snap a photo of your student ID card and send us a message and we'll see what we can do for you.

Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Kingdom Code is on Facebook send us a message there and we'll get back to you ASAP.

Can I update my registration information?
Yes! Just log into Eventbrite and update your information.

Are there refunds?
Sorry, we can't do refunds, however the tickets are transferable, so feel free to pass your ticket on to someone else (just remember to update the name on the ticket).

Is there age limit for the event?
There is no age limit for the event, however under 18's must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

48 hours? What about sleep?
While some people will be working for the full 48 hours (caffeine provided in the ticket cost) it is certainly not expected! Don't worry you can go to sleep. The venue has have a specific room to sleep in, however you are most welcome to bring a sleeping bag, Beddings, alternatively make arrangements for yourself off site.

I have food allergies or requirements... can you cater for me?
Yes! We'll do our best to accomodate your needs, just included them in the form when you register.

What can you do right now?
