About this Event

Increase your odds of survival, and decrease your chances of injury.

Almost 40 percent of U.S. households have at least one dog in them, and an ever-increasing percentage of dog owners consider their dog to be a member of the family. Because dogs and various other animals have become so much a part of U.S. society, regulatory enforcement officers routinely deal with them in the line of duty, and not just when responding to complaints.

Many regulatory officers ignore simple warning signs (barking dogs) or (beware of dog) signs; This course is designed to teach techniques on what to do and how to increase your odds of survival and decrease your chances of injury while preforming regulatory related activities. The code official will gain knowledge of canine behavior, recognize the threat, and minimize officer injury.
