Event description

Description

If you are an urban teen interested in drones as a hobby or a career, be sure to attend Code Akron's "Drones 101" workshop at The University of Akron. During the 90 minute workshop in Shrank Hall South, Room 119 (across the street from the UA McDonald's on 246 E. Exchange St.), students will learn the inner workings of drones from UA professor Gary Schuller, Program Director of the Surveying & Mapping Department. The students then have an opportunity to use one of the univesity's drone simulators to see what it is like to pilot an actual drone. The program is free, but seats are limited. Lunch will be provided and parents are welcome to attend (you only need to sign up your child, not yourself).
