What to Expect
Unique Food Tastings – Our guided 2-hour Coconut Grove Food & Cultural Tour visits 4 locally-run “mom and pop” establishments in historic downtown. These mouth watering food tastings are enough for a hearty lunch or dinner. Stops include authentic peruvian ceviche, locally brewed beer and fresh-caught fish.
Historical & Cultural Experience – Each tour is led by Dr. May I. Acquaint, a scientist and time traveler from the mid- 1800’s, who transports herself into the future to share the unique backstory on how the city of Coconut Grove was founded. Between tastings, you’ll experience how Coconut Grove came to be today. Today's locals and land is an evolution from Indians, European Settlers, Bahamians, WWII Survivors, Fisherman, Hippies, Boatsman, Writers, Educators, Community Activists and Artists. You'll be amazed to learn how a tiny change using steam-power in the early 20 century set afoot to the lavish community of today. Dr. May will share her knowledge and recommendations for shopping, dining and local attractions along the way.
