WHY THE TEPPER QUAD

The creation of the David A. Tepper Quadrangle, a new sector of campus located on the north side of Forbes Avenue, represents the inaugural phase of Carnegie Mellon’s largest building and expansion initiative since its founding in 1900. As the new home of the Tepper School of Business, the Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Simon Initiative, the first building on the Tepper Quad will add 300,000 square feet of much-needed new space and bring together CMU’s immense strengths in business, science, technology, policy, arts, and humanities. With state-of-the-art classrooms and study spaces, as well as the largest on-campus dining facility and auditorium, the Tepper Quad is set to become the new center of the Carnegie Mellon community when it opens in the summer of 2018.

Fellow Alumni/Colleagues: Ann and I see our support of the Tepper Quad as a unique chance to make a permanent mark on Carnegie Mellon. We hope you’ll join us as we learn more about this project and CMU’s vision for innovating education in the 21st century. And we thank you in advance for any financial support you choose to provide.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you on June 5!

Sincerely,

Robert Simon ’93 and Ann Feng Simon '93
