Tour Description

Tour Host: Mary Gavan

Hear a professional storyteller reveal the foibles and follies about the Coal Harbour area.

Enjoy not- the-guide-book storytelling that will take walkers from the Japanese War Memorial to the Aquarium and salmon stream, along the seawall from Coal Harbour to Hallelujah Park and then onto Brockton Point and Lumberman's Arch.

Suitable for able walkers who delight in hearing quirky stories, can traverse the grass and hold their bladders for up to two hours.

Tour Host Bio

Mary is a Celtic Storyteller fascinated by the foibles of people and how they evolve into the quirkier aspects of Vancouver history. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and hearing yours.

Special Instructions

Organizer

Jane's Walk

Jane's Walk is held simultaneously in cities across Canada and other countries around the world. Inspired by Jane Jacob's and her belief that in order to know your city "you have to get out and walk," Jane's Walk is a simple idea. It is free, it connects people and builds communities by promoting urban literacy and citizen engagement.
