Foundations of Professional Coaching

* Use of coaching knowledge and skills effectively in the domain of work, and within the context of organizations
* Specific tools, techniques and processes for coaching in the context of work
* Further honing of skills and deepening of general coaching knowledge

Program Elements

5 classroom days (30 hours), access to 12 teleclasses, plus 2 assignments for independent work.

Access to Monthly Skill Based Labs

This course is new to the UK. An internationally recognised, accredited programme of training for professionals and business leaders in proven coaching techniques.  The programme, designed and supported by the Adler International Learning team, is approved and accredited by the International Coaching Federation and is in the process of being assessed by several of the leading accreditation agencies in the UK.

The course carries 30 accredited hours of approved coach training, a major element of the minimum requirement for membership of the International Coaching Federation which, of itself, is becoming a minimum requirement for corporate sponsors in the UK.

On successful completion of the course, each delegate will be awarded a certificate of completion. This certificate together with your on-going learning log will take you a long way on the path to establishing a successful practice based on coaching.

The Coaching in the Context of Work course is a self contained element of a comprehensive programme.  Subsequent courses in the programme lead to a highly recognised industry qualification. The whole programme can be completed in between 12 and 18 months and significant discounts apply if the whole programme is booked prior to completion of the Foundations course.

As the Adler programme is consistently taught across any of the approved centres it is possible to opt to continue your training in Canada, the USA, Scandinavia or Turkey. This offers the opportunity to meet and work with a very wide group of professional connections. Many of the relationships formed in Foundations last for many years and offer international work and partnership opportunities.

In addition to the face to face learning further support in the development of skills is available through internet labs, webinars and tele classes.

Course groups are kept purposefully small to allow a high ratio of staff to delegates in order to ensure everyone gets personal attention and stands the best chance of benefiting fully from the experience and learning.

The course is accompanied with full documentation including tools, reading lists and guidance on the ICF accreditation process.
