Event Details

The Rhode Island Family Court system requires all parents going through a parental separation to attend co-parenting classes.  Class A is focused on supporting your children.  Class B focuses on supporting you and your co-parenting relationship.  Both classes must be taken to get full credit.

The main purpose of the Always A Parent program is to remind you about what your children need while you go through your parent separation or family change.

  • Your co-parent is also required to take these classes and will be getting the same information and training.
  • We will offer resources and a relevant class experience for you.
  • The material is not meant to make you feel blamed or wrong.  These are concepts that will help your children and that could benefit parents who aren’t separating, as well.
  • We hope this will help you with ways to self-care, to find common ground with your co-parent, and to acknowledge this complicated process.
  • You will recieve a Certificate of Completion that can be given to your attorney, mediator or Family Court Justice, and can be added to your co-parenting documents representing your efforts to successfully co-parent.

You can start being a strong co-parent right now and commit to learning the skills to help your children manage this challenging time in their lives.
