CSPA is hosting a one-of-a-kind event on March 1, to celebrate 2013 Chinese New Year and inaugurate its new president, Rich Liu, Group Director of Facebook, featuring special guest speaker, Jack Jia, Founder/Chariman of Baynote and Partner of GSR Ventures
This is going to be one of the best networking events of the year, with VIP guests list including notable VCs, angel investors, successful entrepreneurs, key executives, founders of hot startups, media and more. We expect attendance of over 150 people.

Founder of Baynote, Partner of GSR Ventures, Angel Investor
Jack wers several hats. He is a founder and CEO of a stealth mobile marketplace startup. He is also a partner of GSR Ventures and an angel investor. Prior, Jack was a founder and CEO of Baynote, Inc., a leading recommendation software company valued at $100 mil. Before Baynote, Jack was the founding CTO at Interwoven (NASDAQ: IWOV, now HP), a leading software company that pioneered CMS category and valued at $7 billion. Prior to Interwoven, he was a founder and CEO of V-max America, making Micron the #1 Tech PC in China in the mid 90’s. Jack also led Unix kernel development at Sun, SGI, Stratus, and NASA for over 8 years.
Jack received an MBA from Santa Clara University, an MSEE from NYU-Poly, and a BSEE/MSCE from
Beijing Jiaotong University.
He was rewarded the 2012 Top 10 Chinese Business Leader Award. He was recognized as one of the 40 most accomplished oversea Chinese entrepreneurs and scholars by the Chinese central government as PRC celebrating its 60 founding anniversary. He was voted as an Outstanding Alumnus by the five Jiaotong universities. Jack holds more than 20 technology patents. He is also a board member and former president of Hua Yuan Science and Technology Association (HYSTA).

Rich Liu is Group Director of Global Marketing Solutions of Facebook. Rich is responsible for Facebook's Technology and Telecom/Wireless verticals, overseeing relationships with many of the company's most strategic clients. Prior to that, he's led sales and account management for Facebook's social & emerging verticals, including Politics, Government, Gaming, and Social Commerce. Rich joined Facebook after eight years at Fisher Investments, a leading portfolio management company, where he was most recently responsible for Client Services. Prior to that, he oversaw a $1 billion+ annual AUM direct sales organization at Fisher and held various leadership positions. Rich started his career as an engineer and has held research positions at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Genzyme Corporation.
He holds a Bachelor's degree with distinction in biomedical engineering from Yale University.

Henry Wong has been a prolific and successful entrepreneur, executive mentor and venture investor in Silicon Valley for over 30 years. Henry applies his operational experience, investment talent, and his international expertise to advise, invest in, and build high technology companies with a global vision. To cope with the fast growing high tech industry, Henry mentors companies and executives to be prepared and plan ahead to deal with the ever-changing dynamic future. He is the venture partner in Garage Technology Ventures and also the founder of Diamond TechVentures (a family office). Prior to that, Henry was a venture partner at Crystal Ventures where he was actively involved with companies including SMIC, LGC Wireless & Infinera. As an entrepreneur, Henry has had several significant successful exits, including SS8 Networks Inc., where he was the founder, CEO and Chairman, as well as IP Communications, XaQti Semiconductor, CNet Technology Inc., and Combinet (ISDN Systems), all of which he co-founded and led. In 2002, Henry was a finalist for the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year Award.” Henry is also the chairman of CSPA. He volunteers as an advisor to several non-profit organizations & is active in the community.
Henry holds a BSc degree in Business from the University of Utah & a MBA in Telecom Management from Golden Gate University. He is also a Mentor in the Stanford Graduate School of Business GSB S-356 MBA Program, and a Team Mentor in the Technology Venture Formation course MS&E 273 & E145 at Stanford's School of Engineering.
