Event description

Description

Tiny houses have taken the nation by storm. There are at least three different television shows dedicated to the minor manors, dozens of tiny house blogs, and just as many hot takes on how tiny houses will save America's affordable housing deficit. But they are also illegal in most places, and they're not alone; along with duplexes, quadplexes, courtyard apartments, above-garage lofts, and granny lofts, tiny houses violate zoning codes from coast to coast. Why? And how do we change that?

Join CNU Atlanta and the Georgia Conservancy at the office of Kronberg Wall Architects, the renovated Bearden Temple AME Church in Reynoldstown, for our July T3 on Missing Middle Housing & the Advent of Tiny Houses, featuring Will Johnston, Founder of Tiny House Atlanta; Robert Reed, Director of Residential and Community Sustainability Services at Southface Energy Institute; Eric Kronberg of Kronberg Wall Architects; Lyn Menne, Assistant City Manager of the City of Decatur; and Geoff Koski, Senior Consultant at the Bleakly Advisory Group and President of CNU Atlanta.

The Kronberg Wall Architects office is located in Reynoldstown (887 Wylie Street, Atlanta, GA 30316), a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bike ride from the Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA station. There is limited parking on the street, so walking, biking, or carpooling is recommended. The event starts at 5:30pm with half an hour of networking before the program begins at 6:00pm.

Free Sweetwater beer will be provided courtesy of the Georgia Conservancy and we'll have cheese, crackers, and other snacks as well. We will be limiting attendance to 100 attendees, so be sure to register early before tickets run out!

Although T3s are free for CNU Members, we ask guests to pay $5.00 in advance. This small contribution helps CNU Atlanta continue providing such programming throughout the year.

We look forward to seeing you!
