The day after Crossfire returns to CNN, S.E. Cupp visits Heritage to speak at The Bloggers Briefing about her hosting role and more. You can watch the briefing at http://www.livestream.com/heritagefoundation
S.E. is one of four hosts of CNN’s Crossfire, a conservative columnist, commentator, The Blaze contributor and public speaker. She is author of the book “Losing Our Religion: The Liberal Media’s Attack on Christianity” and co-author of the book “Why You’re Wrong About the Right.” She's also a columnist at the New York Daily News and a contributing editor at Townhall Magazine.
The new Crossfire -- hosted by S.E. Cupp, Stephanie Cutter, Newt Gingrich, and Van Jones -- will reflect the format of the classic program, featuring two of its regular hosts, from different ideological perspectives, to discuss the key news and cultural issues of the day. Two guests will also join in the daily discussion.
The program relaunches on Monday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m. ET on CNN.
Following S.E.'s presentation, we'll be joined by Kevin McCarty, former director of global outreach at the National Security Council under two administrations, and Mark Pfeifle, former NSC deputy national security adviser for communication during the 2007 “surge” in Iraq and 2004 Republican convention communication director.
Big Data, social analytics and social media are changing how we understand and engage audiences -- and they can give real-time answers to how we engage people to support conservative policies. Kevin and Mark will show how their technology has been used successfully to:
- Predict outcomes of foreign presidential races;
- Predict Governor Rick Perry's fall in the GOP primary;
- Guide a successful anti-Al Qaida campaign for the NSC;
- Show and predict how Democrats were successfully hitting issues while Republicans were not in the recent election;
- Guide GE brand management through the Fukishima crisis; and
- Identify a major, undiscovered fraud campaign against BMW.
Kevin and Mark have offered to lead a discussion on the technology -- and how it might be utilized for future victories.
