About this event
Learn about the benefits of using a spoil board and how to choose one that works best with your machine and work style.
This two-hour class covers the process of setting and maintaining a CNC spoil board. You will learn about the different types of spoil boards - including the pros and cons of each as well as the best materials and hardware for your setup. You will learn how to install, surface, trim and maintain a spoil board as well as various clamping techniques that work best with the different types of spoil boards.
This class assumes that you have a working knowledge of using VCarve and creating toolpaths. If you're new to VCarve, it's recommended that you also attend the VCarve Design and Toolpath Essentials class since the Spoil Board class only covers the VCarve techniques that apply to setting up and maintaining a spoil board.
