Description

This workshop typically lasts one and a half hours.

This intermediate level workshop is intended for individuals who have completed our CNC Mill Part I: Basic Safety and Operation class. Workshop dialogue will include calculating feeds and speeds, tool selection, workflows for multi-sided objects, and a discussion on using CAD/CAM generated toolpaths. Participants will learn how to execute conversational programming operations in PathPilot 2.0, and will have an opportunity to develop their skillset with an instructor's guidance and expertise as immediate resources. You can expect to gain confidence in your machining abilities and technical understanding by taking this workshop.

This workshop will NOT cover the use of software for CAM file generation. TO learn skills and file development techniques in programs such as Rhino or Fusion 360, you ust sign up for one of the workshops that covers these programs.

Participants are required to read and sign the Inworks Terms of Use and General Safety Rules.

Prerequisites: Participants are expected to have completed ONE of the following workshops:
-CNC Routing: Basic Equipment Operation and Safety

-CNC Milling Part I: Equipment Operation and Safety

This workshop is not recommended for individuals who do not have prior experience with CNC machinery.

1. Is there a minimum age requirement?

Minors must be pre-approved and have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Anyone under 16 must have a parent or guardian present.

2. Are there any clothing/ safety requirements?

Closed-toe shoes must be worn and long hair must be pulled back

3. When does registration close?

Registration will close when the event has reached capacity or 24 hours before the start of the event. If less than 3 people have registered 24 hours prior to the event, the event is subject to cancellation and a full refund will be issued.

4. What is student pricing?

Any student currently enrolled in an Inworks course is able to attend most workshops for free. Students from any institution are able to take a workshop at half-price. If you are a student, please select student ticket. Student status will be confirmed at the event. Please be sure to bring a valid student ID.
