CMC's 3rd Annual Summit on Treating Opiate-Dependent Patients

* This conference satisfies the biennial opioid prescribing competency requirement of 3 contact hours on opioid prescribing for the management or treatment of pain, or for the treatment of opioid use disorders, as set forth by the NH Board of Medicine.


Important and timely topics to be addressed include:

  • Difficult management decisions in IVDU-associated Endocarditis
  • Impact on prescribing practices of the enhanced New Hampshire PDMP
  • Federal and New Hampshire active law enforcement programs
  • Practical aspects of the 2017 New Hampshire opioid prescribing rules
  • How education and data can decrease opioid prescribing after general surgery
  • Buprenorphine treatment as a bridge between hospital and clinic
  • Non-opioid analgesia
  • Writing as a betterment activity for Drug Court participants in Hillsborough County


Audience: physicians, dentists, podiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, other prescribers, nurses, social workers, allied health professionals, pharmacists, and social service agencies since only with a coordinated effort by all stakeholders will we solve this problem.

Credit: 7 CME/CEU continuing education credits awarded for completion of all-day Summit.
