‘From the Ministry of Munitions to the Ministry of Defence: Clydeside industrialists and war planning, 1915-1945'

Dr Christopher Miller's talk will situate the Munitions of War Act in its wider context, and explain how the Government’s defence organisation evolved over time.

Dr Christopher Miller is a graduate of the University of Glasgow and Balliol College, Oxford University. He is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Business History in Scotland, University of Glasgow, and was previously Lecturer in Modern History at Eberhard Karls University, Tuebingen. His first book, on the Military Industrial Complex and British War Planning before WW2, is out this winter with Liverpool University Press.
