With gentrification and displacement steadily on the rise, holding space and place for us to gather in our communities is urgent. We are donating 20% of all our ticket sales and donations to our comrades to help save the Compton Community Garden, with the remaining funds going towards our rent fund to keep this Black feminist bookshop afloat and ensure we can renew our lease for more years to come.
Grab your diamonds and pearls and meet us on the bookstore-turned-dancefloor Saturday, June 10th at 9pm with Prince sets 'n sounds by TAY HDSN!
As always, refreshments and surpirse goodies for attendees will be provided. We'll see you there!
