Ok, it's time for a bus crawl night-on-the-town, winter holiday style!
I've reserved a deluxe charter bus for us, complete with sound system (I'll bring tunes!), dim lighting, and bathroom (yes)! We're going to some of the hippest bars / clubs / lounges in DC, so let's pull up in style! No cheesy 4th grade school bus here!
We'll have our very own chauffeur taking us to a few of the hottest spots in DC... and since we've built relationships with many of the bars / clubs for our happy hours... they've agreed to:
• Waive the cover charge (normally $10 - $20)
• Bypass *all* lines (normally a 30 minute - 1 hour wait)
• Provide drink specials
... for our group only!!
So join us for a night of holiday dancing, fun, music, and drinks... while hanging out with others looking to do the same!... all without worrying about transportation, coat check (leave 'em on the bus!) charges, cover charges, waiting in lines, and "regular" drink prices! 21+
Ugly holiday sweaters, Santa hats and outfits, elf attire, reindeer antlers, and / or any other winter holiday garments and costumes are encouraged. Looking forward to seeing what we come up with as we spread holiday cheer!
Currently, we'll be visiting the following hot spots (see pictures of the venues at the bottom of this posting!):
• Asia - Asia DC is a premier nightlife and music club! Before it became a regular stop on the music circuit, it was an Asian fusion restaurant.
• Rosebar - Rosebar offers a sophisticated retro-chic feel with a sleek lounge atmosphere!
• Lost Society - Lost Society exudes a Victorian underground vibe with a modern twist!
• Ultrabar - Ultrabar features a unique blend of classic architecture and modern amenities
We'll meet up at Asia DC to start, for the first hour or so (it's technically our first stop). Detailed itinerary to be provided when we meet up!
We've got an early bird special for this event of $25 (the cost of just the cover at some clubs)! The first 40 paid sign-ups, or those who pay by Sun. Dec. 4th (whichever comes first) get the early bird price! After that, it will go up to $30. We have a LIMITED number of spots so make sure to RSVP early AND make payment to secure your spot and get the early bird price! Metro and Parking
The closest Metro is Farragut West (Orange, Blue, Silver lines) and Farragut North (Red line). I suggest Metro / cabbing / Uber'ing if you can. I also recommend using wmata.com for travel planning. Don't forget to account for Metro, traffic, and parking delays. If you are driving, you will need to find street parking or a garage. I recommend using parkopedia.com for garage parking planning.
Ugly holiday sweaters, Santa hats and outfits, elf attire, reindeer antlers, and / or any other winter holiday garments and costumes are encouraged! Holiday outfits aside, dress code includes includes no hats, no athletic gear, no baggy clothes, no t-shirts, no flip / flops, no timberlands, no ripped jeans, nice sneakers ok. Suggested attire for men: button up collar shirt with slacks, hard-soled dress shoes. Suggested attire for women: classy and sexy.
We will have a master list of all those that have paid. It’s not required, but I recommend printing out your payment confirmation as a backup. When you check-in, your RSVP will be listed under the name of the Paypal or credit card account used to make payment. Typically, this is your LEGAL name as shown on your driver's license. Sometimes, it may be under a company name if you set up your Paypal or credit card account that way. If you are not sure what it is, please take a moment to log into your Paypal account (it will say "Welcome, [your account name]" at the top) or your credit card account to find out. If you are RSVP'd under someone else's payment, please use that name for check-in.
Since we pay in advance for this event, all sales are final unless the event is canceled or rescheduled. If the event is canceled or rescheduled, an UPDATE will be posted at the top of the event posting, and the UPDATE will also be sent as an email to the yes RSVPs. A full refund will be submitted no later than Wednesday of the following week. For rescheduled events, you must let us know within 3 calendar days of the UPDATE email if you are unable to make the new date... no refunds will be given after that time. Thanks for understanding. =)
Similar to a concert ticket or a football game ticket, you are free to sell your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend. Work out payment between yourselves, and have the seller only send the organizer a "message" letting me know the first AND last name, and Meetup profile URL (if a member) of the person taking your spot (please also copy them on the message). I host a lot of events and groups, so please let me know the event name and group name the ticket transfer is for. You must let me know by the RSVP close time of 5pm on the day of the event.
Should inclement weather (e.g. snow storm, hurricane, etc.) affect our event, we'll need to reschedule or cancel. If any one of the following is not available for service due to inclement weather, we'll need to do so: Metrorail is not running to all stops; Uber (X, SUV, etc.) is not running or available at no more than 2x standard rates; venue(s) are not open. I'll post an UPDATE to the top of the event posting by 5:30pm on the day of our event with the details.
If you have any special needs (e.g. wheelchair, dietary for events with food included, etc.), let us know in advance (a week or more before the event) and we will do our best to accommodate (message me through my Meetup profile). If you let us know the day of the event, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to help. Thank you for understanding and we appreciate the courtesy of a heads up!
You are free to leave items on the bus so that you don't have to carry them around in the bars / clubs. Please be aware we are not responsible for any lost items, so don't forget to take your belongings with you at the end of the night!

20s & 30s Going Out Group
We are the ORIGINAL 20s & 30s Group, and the 2nd largest Meetup group in the world! This Meetup is for people mostly in their 20s and 30s, in the Washington DC metro area, who enjoy dancing, dining, pubs, clubs, outdoor activities, road trips, dinner parties, and other local activities.
This group is for married people, single people, new-in-towners, and people who have been in the DC area for a while and are simply looking for a new group to go out with. Membership is FREE, and you only have to be friendly and fun to join!
We have a happy hour each month where we raise money for various local charities (all voluntary donations).
