Event description
We're pleased to announce the 17th annual Clothing Our Children fundraiser will be held on February 9, 2020 at the Avalon Manor.

About this Event

The event will feature wine, microbrews, food tastings, and silent and live auctions. All food and drinks are donated from local businesses and all profits from the fundraiser are for children’s clothing vouchers.

Nearly 8,500 children in Crown Point, Merrillville, Hobart, and Lake Station are on free and reduced lunch programs at their schools. Many of their families face tough economic choices, and winter clothing often comes second to major issues like food, housing, medical needs.

Clothing Our Children is a nonprofit organization (501(c)3, Tax Exempt: 27-4640067) that has provided winter clothing to thousands of underprivileged school children over the last 16 years. Last year alone, nearly 500 children from Crown Point, Merrillville, Hobart, and Lake Station received funds exclusively for the purchase of winter apparel.

The funds cannot be used to purchase items beyond clothing, and the clothing cannot be returned for cash. Funds are raised through donations, tickets to the event, silent auctions, a live auction, and a raffle.
