Location: Cuyamaca College, Room C-145

Class day and time: Every other Monday 3:00 PM-4:30 PM face-to-face plus 1.5 hours online every other week

Dates: First Class February 11th (Class meets: 02/11, 02/25, 03/04, 03/18, 04/01, 04/15, 04/29, 05/13)

Facilitator: Donna Hajj

Credit or Non-Credit Available, SDSU Credit: 2 Units $160, This is a hybrid course

Course Description: This course provides participants the time and opportunity to explore culturally responsive and project-based teaching practices that challenge us to change the way we teach. Participants will form communities of practice around one book and implement a more thoughtful and deliberate approach to teaching that results in true learning partnerships to ensure student success.

Participants will read "Hacking Project Based Learning." Communities of practice will be formed around this text and members will be invited to work collaboratively to design, implement and evaluate transformational strategies that directly address an issue in their classroom, campus or community. You must be an AFT Guild member in good standing to enroll.
