Health workers are a priority group for COVID-19 vaccination—both for their role as frontline workers during the pandemic and their influence on public attitudes and behavior. Yet, many have still not been vaccinated, or received a full vaccine course, especially in low-income countries where overall vaccination rates remain quite low in some cases. Innovative approaches to increase health workers’ acceptance and uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine, and future vaccines, are needed.
Breakthrough ACTION has synthesized behavioral insights related to COVID-19 vaccine acceptance among health workers and guidance on promising approaches to increase their uptake.
