About this event

Last chance to see the RIVERS Art Exhibition!

We’ve been celebrating RIVERS this fall, suggesting that Jacksonville’s best and most under-appreciated asset may be its waterways, from the vital St. Johns to the eight other rivers of North Florida. Water is a symbol of the feminine, and women writers, artists, environmentalists, and community leaders have all contributed their perspective on this undervalued and powerful force of Jacksonville.

Community members can stop by for our closing day to enjoy WWfaC’s signature “sidewalk hospitality” and connect (safely) with artists and writers outdoors and inside. Check out the native plant garden and enjoy light refreshments while viewing the art on display at this historic Riverside home and garden.

For extra fun, we’re also offering a timely pop-up exhibition by artist/attorney Deborah Reid, who will offer new works that speak to the issues of our time, playing with words and ideas, from a personal and global persective. Come on out to support our dear friend, Deborah! (And you can pre-order her book on copyright laws for artists and writers!)

Details:

  • Please register to attend
  • Wear a mask inside and practice social distancing outside
  • Anyone can attend!

We will have journals, art, books, and anthologies for sale. All proceeds support our work lifting the expression of the feminine in our community, including writing circles, community events, art shows, and our annual anthology. Thank you for your support!
