Event description

Description

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority(IHCDA) is inviting local, state and federal officials, profit and not-for-profit organizations for the Closing Reception of the Portraits of the Human Spirit: A Sense of Place exhibit at the West Lafayette Public Library Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 6:00 pm.

Joining us for the event will be photographer Tom Casalini.

In celebration of the 30-year anniversary of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) and the Indiana Affordable Housing Council (IAHC) commissioned world- renowned photographer Tom Casalini to create a portrait series. This exhibition captures the “Human Spirit” through 18 masterful images accompanied by intimate audio stories of those directly impacted by this program. Viewed together, visitors enter a world of human resiliency and the power of what we can accomplish – together.

There is no cost to attend. However, registration is requested.

Note: The exhibit will remain at the West Lafayette Public Library throughout the month of August.
