Description

2020 SERIES | VISION 2020: PAIRINGS & SIDES

In this free lecture and perfomance series, MEE will satiate our audiences with four exciting live programs, each delectably paired with the players’ spoken insights on the evening’s offerings. Included in the bill of fare will be appetizing points of interest from historical to instrumental, as well as some tidbits of social context and a sampling of instrumental lore. Arrive with an appetite for engaging in enlightening dialog with the artists, and prepare to fill up on the art of listening, as well as of learning.

March 23, 2020

TOAST TO VIENNA, HUNGARY & IRELAND

In March our string trio appears, prepped to perform the Beethoven Trio in G Major, Op. 9 No 1, a sweet and intriguing Kodály trio, and a Ernest John Moeran piece filled with the melodic folksong of the composer’s native Ireland. Something for everyone in this program! Performers will be Cellist Sarah Freiberg, Violist Dimitar Petkov, and Violinist Maria Benotti.
