21st Amendment Brewery and lauded family-owned hop farm CLS Farms join forces to create a limited-edition Double IPA brewed with innovative hops grown in the premier hop region of Yakima Valley in Washington State.

Introducing Close Encounters of a Hop Kind! This 8.5% ABV Double IPA transports beer drinkers far beyond typical Double IPAs with CLS Farms’ extraterrestrial proprietary hop varieties: El Dorado®, Zappa®, and the brand new, never before used CLS X-14. Handcrafted out of a love for experimental hops, Close Encounters of a Hop Kind is a deceptively easy-drinking DIPA.

Beer Tasting 🍺 with 21st Amendment Brewmaster, Shaun O’Sullivan, to learn more about Close Encounters of a Hop Kind, with its light haze and deep straw color that has flavor and aroma bursts of tropical, stone fruit, lime, melon, and purple (that’s right, purple.)

Hop Domination 📖 with CLS Farms, where you’ll get the chance to smell some hops, learn about the various hop varieties, and what makes this new experimental hop, CLS X-14, so special (don’t worry, there will not be a quiz after.)

Food 🍔 Get your taste buds ready! The 21st Amendment kitchen is cooking up something special for you with a limited time only menu, exclusively for Close Encounters of a Hop Kind - along with some guest dessert vendors! Mmmm…
