Event description

Description

Join the Mid-Michigan Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area at an invasive species workshop for Clinton County citizens!

The free workshop will be held at the Bengel Nature Center in Bath, MI on Wednesday, May 15th, from 6:00-7:30 pm. Join our CISMA staff and Bengel's wildlife biologist Dr. Pat Rusz for an evening to learn about invasive species in the relaxing setting of the covered porch of the center. We will conclude the workshop with a nature walk to show some common invasive species and you'll have lots of time to ask your invasive species questions.

In this workshop, you will learn about some common invasive species in the area, what you can do to help manage them, and how to prevent them from invading your property and public lands. You'll also learn of upcoming conservation and invasive species stewardship events hosted by CISMA partners within Clinton County.

The Mid-Michigan CISMA will be hosting a landowner workshop in each of its counties- Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, and Ionia. Please view our Eventbrite events page to view and register for a workshop in your county.

If you have questions, please contact Erin Pavloski, Regional Invasive Species Coordinator of the Mid-Michigan CISMA, via email at erin.jarvie@macd.org.

Thank you to the Bengel Wildlife Center for providing us space for this workshop! The Mid-Michigan CISMA is funded in part by the Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program (www.michigan.gov/invasives).
