Unsent Letters
by The Hearth Centre

The Hearth Centre raises mental health issues through theatre and good writing. www.thehearthcentre.org.uk

Unsent Letters ( by Hearth’s Artistic Director, Polly Wright) explores well researched issues around BAME mental health, addiction and adoption.

Unsent Letters is performed by Deborah Tracey whose theatre work includes: A Mad World My Masters (Royal Shakespeare Company), The Last Women (Belgrade) and Alice’s Adventures Underground (Les Enfants Terribles) and the Hearth Centre.

Deb’s television and film work includes: Doctors (BBC) Obsessions (Discovery ID), Fee Fi Fo...Yum (BBC), Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie (Fox Searchlight) and Patient Zero (Sony Pictures). She also writes and performs her own critically acclaimed stage shows, Death of a Beauty Saleswoman and Fades, Braids and Keeping it Real

Shaun Griffiths

"My comedy deals with the the fact I'm gay and I have a mental health diagnosis (borderline personality disorder, with episodes of depression)”, write Shaun. “I run an LGBT peer support group at my local branch of Mind, (people who identify as LGBT are 3 times more likely to develop a mental health condition than heterosexual people) and comedy has helped me tackle stigma around being gay and mental health. I have performed in my home town in Mid Wales, Cardiff and Hereford and each time I have performed it has been positive and strangely cathartic. I think comedy is a good way of getting a message across (in my case stigma around mental health and being gay) without being dry or dull”.

Scissorgun

Scissorgun are an electronic music duo consisting of Alan Hempsall (Crispy Ambulance) on guitar and vocals and David Clarkson (Triclops, Illuminati) on synths, samples, rhythms and programming.

They released a 10" vinyl ep and full length CD entitled 'Assault Two' in September 2017.

The performance will be entirely new material.
