Description

We are pleased to bring back our innovative Case Study Professional Development Series using cases from fiction and non-fiction. Register for the whole series ($60) or individual meetings ($20 each). Cases will be presented, reading the entire book is not necessary.

2 CEU hours for social workers and counselors. Discussion will be led by Kate Mahoney, LCSW and Frances Schnadig, LCSW.

11/10/17-The Gathering by Anne Enright

1/5/18- Did You Ever Have a Family by Bill Clegg

3/2/18- Breaking Night by Liz Murray

5/4/18 - Man Called Ove by Frederik Backman.

Discussion topics will include:

1) Strengths and Challenges of the individual/family

2) The role of loss or trauma

3) Cultural and Ethical Considerations

4) Transference and Counter-Transference

Participants may enroll for a single session or all of them. Space is limited.
