Description

Come learn how to create and present a high growth, high impact business model in the upcoming C.L.I.M.B. Foundations of Entrepreneurship class. In this class, Professor Lois Shelton will teach ten (10) face-to-face classes, plus offer a "Pitch War" pitch compeition as a culminating class activity. During some classes, participants may go on a field trip or hear an expert guest speaker. In addition, Professor Shelton will provide individual and team mentoring outside of classes.

What is a high-growth, high impact business model? This is a model for a company to achieve rapid growth in its first five years and to employ at least ten people. High growth, high impact businesses create the most jobs and have the most positive impact on their communities.

When will the class meet? The first class will meet on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2885 Clay Avenue from 9:00 to 10:30 am. After that, class will meet every second and fourth Saturday until June 9, 2018. The class "Pitch War" pitch competition will be held on Wednesday, June 20 from 7:00-9:00 pm.

How much does it cost? Equivalent courses at universities can cost in excess of $2000; however, C.L.I.M.B is offering this entire course for only $125.00 (~ $11.00 per session) through the generosity of its donors and supporters.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? This family-friendly event is open to participants of all ages.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Free parking is available at the adjacent parking lot and on the street on a first-come, first-serve basis.
