Description
ClimateLaunchpad has selected three winners to represent Scotland at their global final in Tallinn, Estonia later this year. This followed a European record-breaking 59 applications to the Scottish stage of the competition; the selection of 16 startups proceeding to the bootcamp stage; and an intense finals event where an esteemed panel of judges from the Scottish business community grilled the contestants.
On Friday 9th September from 1pm to 5.30pm at the University of Edinburgh Business School we are bringing the three ClimateLaunchpad Scotland winners back together to pitch again, in preparation for the global final in Estonia.
At this event we will talk about the ambitious plans for ClimateLaunchpad Scotland 2017 and hear from Roseanna Cunningham MSP. Scotland's Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform will deliver a keynote covering the latest in Scotland's policy and strategy on energy and climate change, and what this means to Scotland and Europe's future together.
The afternoon will also feature a panel discussion with the Board of Scotland's 2020 Climate Group; on the topic of: The Future of Food, Drink and Farming in a Post-Brexit Scotland.

We know that paying for networking events in Scotland is not popular! Especially one organised by an Aberdonian. But we are asking those interested in attending to pay the small sum of £45. Your £45 will be doubled by our event sponsor and all profits from the event will be donated to the charitable cause that CleanWeb Factory is supporting: the Ronald McDonald House Glasgow (registered charity number SC023199) and the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit in Glasgow, which provides intensive care for children as a National Service across all of NHS Scotland. You can read more about why CleanWeb Factory is doing this at: http://www.andrewmitchell.eu/?page_id=12
