Event description

Description

Extreme weather events and other impacts of global warming are increasing in severity and have financial implications. Yet many of the world’s biggest asset owners are inactive on policy to mitigate risks.

Business Climate Leaders invites you to a convening for financial sector leaders interested in climate solutions and seeking additional knowledge and resources. Join BCL and your colleagues in a discussion that

  • Begins with the risks of global warming to the financial sector
  • Explains the need for asset owners to engage in mitigation and why carbon pricing is a foundational mitigation strategy, and
  • Ends with an exploration of how companies are benefitting from internal carbon pricing and how they are supporting federal carbon pricing legislation.

This convening will help you connect the dots between climate risks and policy to mitigate those risks.

Our goal is to bring together, inform, and activate leaders to embrace effective strategies that will accelerate efforts to mitigate and reverse climate change.
