Communities throughout New York City are prone to flooding, and in recent years, flooding has occurred more frequently, affecting a broader range of communities than ever.
Learn about different types of flooding and its causes, what New York City is doing, and how you can prepare yourself in case of a flood.
The event will start off with presentations by key speakers, followed by a "tools cafe" and interaction with speakers and community residents, and sharing information, resources, tools, and values.
Participating Organizations: Consortium for Climate Risk in the Urban Northeast • Stevens Institute of Technology • NYC Office of Emergency Management • NYC Department of City Planning• Center for New York City Neighborhoods • and more
