In community with Miami New Drama, City Theatre, the Miccosukee School, and Love the Everglades, Mangrove Creative Collective is organizing a Climate Change Theatre Action’s 2019 Lighting the Way play reading series.
Featured playwrights are:
- Madeline Sayet – BLOOD ON THE LEAVES
- Hassan Abdulrazzak – LAILA PINES FOR THE WOLF
- Jordan Hall – THE DONATION
- Georgina Escobar – A DOG LOVES MANGO
- Alister Emerson – SIX POLAR BEARS FELL OUT OF THE SKY THIS MORNING
Additionally, audiences will hear a new play Mangrove Creative Collective has developed with the students at the Miccosukee School, which will lift up the voices of our local indigenous population and illuminate their continued stewardship of the land and water.
