Event description

Description

New Canaan welcomes world-famous author, environmentalist, and activist Bill McKibben on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Saxe Middle School. Widely credited with launching the movement to combat climate change, McKibben gave one of the earliest warnings about global warming with his 1989 book The End of Nature. Thirty years later, in his latest book Falter: Has the Human Game Begun to Play Itself Out?, McKibben offers a powerful and sobering call to arms to save our planet. Hear directly from “one of the most farsighted and gifted voices of our times” about what we can do before it’s too late.

This event is co-hosted by Elm Street Books, the New Canaan Garden Club, the New Canaan Land Trust, and the New Canaan Library.
