The Tulare Basin Watershed Connections Workgroup is hosting a free workshop on climate change in the Tulare Basin watershed, with a focus on climate change impacts and adaptation strategies for agriculture and disadvantaged communities (DACs).

The Tulare Basin Watershed Connections Workgroup is a collaborative of natural resource managers working together to advance watershed planning and resource management in the Tulare Basin based on sound science and mutually identified needs for regional economic and ecological sustainability.


PLEASE NOTE: THE TULARE BASIN WORKSHOP IS STILL CONTINUING, BUT THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION WORKSHOP LISTED BELOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED.


Following this event, the Local Government Commission will be presenting a “Central Valley Stakeholder Workshop on Overcoming Barriers to Adaptation”

This workshop will provide opportunities to learn about financing needs in California, practical opportunities for funding adaptation, what institutional and organizational barriers hinder work on adaptation, and how to move your organization to higher levels of capacity to advance adaptation. Participants will share their own experience and challenges with financing and implementing adaptation strategies at the local level to inform two research projects being conducted for California's Fourth Climate Change Assessment.
