Event description

Description

Given the upcoming legalization of marijuana, Ontario manufacturers need to be aware of the potential performance impacts and liabilities they may face when employees show up for work under the influence. We'd love to have you join us to learn about the implications and remedies from industry experts at a specially scheduled Circumference Leadership Session, to be held November 22, 2018.

Some of the key legal, business cultural and performance issues to be discussed include:

  • What are your liabilities concerning injuries caused or incurred by impaired employees?

  • Can other workers refuse to work due to safety concerns with an impaired co-worker?

  • Can you fire someone for showing up to work high?

  • How can you measure the impact of marijuana use on job performance?

Our guest speakers include experts in employment law, human resources and data management, with Q&A sessions to follow the presentations. There is also ample time for networking prior to and following the meeting.

If you plan to bring a guest or two, that's great. However, we have limited seating and expect a larger than normal turnout given the sheer gravity of implications of this new law for business owners in the province. So, please, register yourself (and any guests) soon.
