About this Event

ABOUT CLEAR

Cuers for Leadership, Education, Advocacy, and Resources, (or CLEAR) is a program of the National Cued Speech Association. CLEAR provides workshop focusing on leadership, education, and advocacy from the perspective of cuers.

WORKSHOP AGENDA

This workshop will be led by Aaron Rose, co-founder of CLEAR; executive director of Rocky Mountain Cued Speech Association; and program administrator of Cue College, a program of Alternatives in Education for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals (AEHI).

We will address the following topics:

  • Community and Culture: What does it mean to be a cuer?
  • Leadership - How do I get involved with the NCSA or local chapters?
  • Education - What is Cued Speech & cued language and how do we explain those terms?
  • Advocacy - What are the issues affecting cuers and what can we do about it?

Workshop participants will also get an opportunity to interact with NCSA board members who will be in town for their board meeting!

Stay tuned for additional information!
